My dad's let me use his old digital camera (HP Photosmart 812) for an indefinite amount of time, probably until I get my own.  In the mean time, I am a photographically-challenged female who can suddenly take pictures to her heart's content.

So two things.

1) I'd like suggestions for what kind of digital camera to look for.  I don't need a really super-awesome one, I'm not going to make a career out of photography, and I'm not the most techology-savvy person on earth.  And I'm a poor college kid.  Suggestions?

2) Any critique or suggestions for improvement are welcome.  I'll be putting up some pictures so you can see how much of a novice I am. ^_^

So I haven't really written much in the last X months, which is a little sad.  But lately, in particular the last two-ish weeks, several things have happened (good, bad, and weird) that have inspired me or something.  So I guess I'm making up for lost time.

Also, since I have a need to create distractions for myself, I redid some of the poetry previews.  You probably didn't/won't notice.

Why is it so much harder to write poetry when you're in a -good- mood?

Well, today was fun.  Arts discover day, the grand opening of the new visual arts/dance building, and homecoming (we won).  Good times.

Here's a little tip for all you guys.  I've said this before, but really, never call a girl "hot," especially not to her face.  Instead, say she's stunning, breathtaking, or some other moderately exotic adjective, and kiss her hand.  Just take my word for it.

Okay, it's late, and I'm tired.

So tonight we had a masquerade ball.  It rocked.  Unlike high school, there is absolutely no pressure to have a date for these things.  For this reason, the girls outnumber the boys, but most of the guys who do show up are in the dance or theatre department, and those are pretty much the coolest people anyway, so it's all good.

And I'd probably still be out now, but last night we had a luau and I was out till after two with a bunch of people (well, at first there were a bunch of us, but only four of us stayed till two), and tomorrow's church, so I'm thinking sleep might be beneficial.  Only I'm listening to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, so I'm not actually going to bed just yet.

So yeah . . . that's about all I had to say.
